Skitchen Steakhouse Set Lunch

I am very much honored as I sat my rump to rest for lunch at Skitchen Steakhouse. No hassle and bustle experienced for the chef has already outlined his choice for your selection.

The menu hits off with its Starter; usually a Salad or Soup of the Day. Do not take THE SALAD lightly. It is not your average off the shelf military style salad or just something you tossed in mayo.

Moving on to the Main courses; there will be shifts in selection daily from Grilled Chicken Breast served with Seasonal Vegetables, chef's choices of beef preparations and pasta of the day that boost a variety of preparations; beef bolognaise, carbonara, aglio olio or simply tossed with a bed of mushroom ragout.

Your lunch does not end here, as everyday Skitchen Steakhouse will end your lunch on the high note as there will be Dessert to ensure that will leave you nothing but sweet thoughts of satisfaction.

My own experience of the indulgence are briefly narrated as follows:

Starter

Grilled Oyster Mushroom with Garden Salad with a Balsamic Dressing

A medley of colors for both the sight and the palate
Perfect Unpretentious Char on the Mushrooms

There are only three items on the plate but it compliments one another perfectly. The generous amount of oyster mushrooms are grilled to perfection. The earthiness from the the mushroom is contrasted with the crunch and slight bitterness yet full of freshness from the red and green coral lettuce finally tied up with the acidity from the balsamic vinegar dressing. A true trinity of flavor indeed.

Main Course

Spaghetti in Spicy Italian Tomato Sauce with Chicken

Perfect Portion = Generous Portion
Devilishly red and sumptuous

I ordered the spaghetti cause at this pint of time, I was indeed too famished for rice which can be seriously bloating. It is a simple pasta cooked el dente and tossed in moist pieces of chicken and halved cherry tomatoes with chili flakes for the kick. A crack of black pepper on the top makes this simple , well executed pasta bursting with tomato infused goodness and a pleasant heat on the back of my palate.

Dessert

Panna Cotta with Berries Gel and Fresh Berries

The candy of my eye

This sums everything up beautifully

The panna cotta has a balanced sweetness with a fine hint of fresh vanilla and it is absolutely velvety to contrast with the slightly acidic yet captivating berries gel. A dainty little dessert to ensure that you feel pampered and an ode to a joy for your rest of the day.

The lunch set comes with  a selection of either iced passion fruit or the normal iced lemon tea or your normal tea and coffee.

Iced water: Free Flow
