Midnight Supper Woes

There will be times; many a times at night and especially midnight when one always get the cravings for food.

I do.. ALL THE TIME!!!!!

Very likely you are either reading some awesome food blogs, writing a recipe or got caught up with your daily dose of mouth watering extravaganza on AFC (Asian Food Channel),

I am VERY proud to say that those will not have potentially dangerous influence upon an avid food enthusiast like myself,

It's the distinguished friends on Facebook which seems to have the most potent influence on my level of tolerance at night for food,

No offense at all,

But it is not easy at all,

Keeping all the raw hunger contained   is never easy for the faint-hearted,

Thank and Praise the good Lord for limiting certain availability options,

Post on Peking Duck.......11pm ...perfect timing....no way I can pluck any duck feathers,

Post on roasted suckling pig, I can only squeal myself to sleep in deprivation,

Pizza posts....fine, I can cope....hide my phone and ensuring it's not in silent mode,

A HUGE BANANA SPLIT POST.....*SI BEH JIAK LAT.....it may be virtually impossible to build one without whipped cream, crushed nuts and the sinfully melted chocolate syrup drizzled all over sinful scoops of melting icy goodness,

But, with an abundance of 7-11s in the Kota Damansara area, oh, I so got to do it...

Dragged my sorry ass there:

Pleased and unappeased with the following:

Neapolitan Ice-cream from Wall's = check (best choice if you would like to get a taste of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry Ice-cream)
Whipped cream= unavailable
 Nuts= check me out
Bananas= check
Hershey's Chocolate syrup= unavailable

with such limited option my *sepet eyes caught a glimpse of chilled bottled A&W Root Beer.

Grabbed one and I could not believe how fast I was back then....a big scoop of the trio icy combinations, roughly chopped the bananas, sprinkle with some Kellog's Coney Cornflakes with the whole bottle of A&W Root Beer...Forgive Me God for I have sinned...

BUT IT TASTED SO GOOD...a sad replica of a real banana split(DEVIL) but  it was truly satisfying.

Lesson Learned:

  • No food from 11 pm to 2 am....detox period...says a big sis Vivenn Chong(does not mean it's all you can eat after 2am!!!it's time to sleep)
  • Prepare healthier food like milk and oats and hold the sugar
  • Never stock up on anything instant, noodles, chips, frozen pizzas...they do go down fast and in vast amount just as instantly
  • to put a blind eye for food posts; center your focus on the anything aside from the food in the posts...chopsticks, knives, forks, guys , girls...anything but the food
  • Pray sincerely to God for strength
Angel & Devil conversation is an inspirational humor from a fellow devilish zombie friend. It is modified to appeal to more Malaysian community.

I,m hungry again....
Angel: Detox period , don't eat anything hippo
Devil: *Kia go mamak
Angel: and order teh tarik, roti bom kaya, roti telur...the bad calories and cholesterol...
Devil:...and nasi lemak panas with ayam goreng berempah

Angel:*kia...we go together
Devil: *Kisiaw one you...I like

The * for the "in case" you wondered:

  1. *SI BEH JIAK LAT basically means something that renders you either emotionless, drains you of all your bodily energies in the HOKKIEN DIALECT
  2. *sepet is for squinty eyes in Bahasa Malaysia
  3. *kia means walk but in the context it means come in the HOKKIEN DIALECT
  4.  *Kisiaw : Means you are crazy to a respectable extent in the HOKKIEN DIALECT
Quote: We can't win most of the times but please don't the DEVIL win ALL the TIME!!!
